Food Experience

Food Experience

Monday, Monday I thought it was a normal every day starter of the week UNTIL…
Mr. Logan told us we were tasting 7 different kinds of Asian food. I was worried and scared because I didn’t know what was coming. Then Mr. Logan bought out the first plate I wonder what it will taste like?

EW!!! YUCK!!! Dried, spiced anchovies I held it in my hand it felt bumpy, smelt fishy and tasted disgusting. Our group was taking turns being blindfolded then it was my turn to be blindfolded. My partner Kayla put it into my hand it felt stringy and smelt like tomato sauce. It was dried squid I was sooo shocked!!! Next Mr. Logan bought us wasabi peas, they were really hot and spicy!!
A few minutes later another plate came out it was Korean Kandy (for short KK) it was sooo good because it tasted like sweet caramel!!! We also had dried banana from Vietnam it tasted like my nanas pudding it was sooo nice!!! Afterwards we had crackers they were good too. Last but not lest we had Lychee pudding, which is a type of jelly. That was the best out of all the 7 foods. My favourite out of them was the dried banana, crackers and Lychee pudding. The dried banana because it tasted like my nanas pudding which is sweet banana, with vanilla custard and sour raspberry jam. Crackers because they tasted like my favourite flavour, which is salt and vinegar. I liked the Lychee pudding because it was a fruit I had never tried before and was a soft, white, citrus flavour and very sweet.

The food that I didn’t like was the anchovies, dried squid and the wasabi peas. The anchovies because it smelled really fishy, had seeds on it, felt bumpy and tasted disgusting, because I don’t like fish and seeds. I didn’t like the dried squid because it was stringy, very chewy and very dry. And last but not least the wasabi peas they smelt yum like peas but tasted so much like a spicy curry.

I really liked trying new things but I was also very nervous about tasting the food and I would like to try it again.
